VFX Workshops

VFX Apprentice Workshops are instructor-guided courses with weekly live lessons and direct student feedback. 

You will join a class of a limited number of students and each week you will meet with your instructor on your assigned class date for a live lecture and overview of weekly assignments. 

Throughout each of the four weeks, you will work on your weekly assignment to turn in for direct feedback from your instructor with notes on how to improve your artistic skills and technical knowledge. 

This is a hybrid class with both live classes and pre-recorded lessons. 

1-hour long live lectures are held every Week in our Discord Server!

In addition, students are invited to work together on tasks in the daily lab hours and are supported by our mentors if questions come up. These sessions are not mandatory but will help you progress your skills with fellow classmates. 

The exclusive lesson recordings can be watched at any time.

Dedicating a minimum of around 12 hours per week should give you enough time to watch the lecture videos as well as follow the assignment to its completion. 

That being said, we expect this to be quite an intense and potentially time-intensive workshop.
And it would be optimal if you are able to invest more than 12 hours per week! You'll find an over-achieving approach can get you further.

There are generally no strict requirements to take the workshop classes.
But since both of these are teaching different aspects of the VFX pipeline we recoment reading through the FAQ sections on the workshop pages.

We recommend planning ahead for the 4 weeks. Do what you can to clear your schedule and make sure you connect to the Community Discord.

Don't worry about doing too much VFX work in advance, so you'll avoid burning out before classes start.

The Workshop assignments as well as the exclusive lecture series will be permanently available for you after purchase.

The free bonus addition of the VFX-A all access subscription will end two months after the first live session. 

You have direct access to your mentor during the 4-week period. Additional feedback is provided inside of the VFX-A Community Discord after the Workshop ends.

The course is designed to be an intensive 4-week session. While we understand life can get busy, we recommend waiting for the next opening if you can't dedicate your time for the Workshop.

That being said, the live session will be recorded and uploaded to the class to which you will have permanent access. But you would be missing out on the live feedback and mentor insights.
