David "Zaccubus" Treacy

VFX Artist at GD Studio

David Treacy, AKA Zaccubus, is a VFX artist with an unconventional path into the industry. He originally worked in esports and professional gaming before making a career shift into visual effects during the COVID-19 pandemic, teaching himself art and VFX from scratch. That self-driven learning led to an opportunity to join GD Studio, where David trained through a VFX apprenticeship and has been learning and growing ever since.

He has worked on Diabotical Rogue, a first-person PvP shooter built in the studio’s in-house Glitch Engine. Currently, David is still part of the team, contributing to future ideas and ongoing development while continuing to hone his craft as a VFX artist.
