Timing in Visual Effects: Full Curriculum Breakdown
Week 1 - Intensity & The Power of Reference
Know how to analyze the intensity of VFX, put it on the graph to visualize it for clarity, and start building your own library of stylish, punchy references.
Week 2 - The Building Blocks of Greatness
Apply the insights on timing in engine: no textures, no materials, only punch. Use a "block-in" method to focus our attention where it counts - on player satisfaction.
Week 3 - Punch above your weight
Plan out the timing for your final effect on a big scale. Curate an elaborate timing sequence with windup, crescendo, follow-through, and dissipation.
